how to lock folder without any software

Privacy is most important thing nowadays. Everyone wants to get your details or files for various purposes.  Keeping your files and folders private or locked, become a hassle. But now I will tell you a trick to lock and hide your personal files in windows computers. This trick is working in windows 7, 8 and 10.

Actually it is a batch file, which will apply hidden and system attribute on folder and your folder will be locked. After that, you can open the folder with a password. You should not share your password with anyone in order to keep your files safe. So let’s move to the trick.

Step  1 –First of all open Notepad.

Step 2- Copy the below code and paste it in Notepad.

Step 3- Now save this file as lock.bat by going to File>Save As option.

Note – Don’t forget to use .bat after file name while saving it.

Step 4- Now a batch file will be created looks similar to below in image.

Step 5- Double click on the file. After double clicking, it will create a folder named Secure.

Step 6- Now copy your personal files in that folder.

Step 7- After copying your files in the folder click. Again double click on that lock.bat file you have created.

Step 8- Now a black screen will appear asking you to lock the folder. Write Y or y in reply and then press enter key. 

Now your folder will disappear or locked. If you want to unlock the folder, again double click on lock.bat file, enter your password (ghostman) and press enter key. Now you can see your folder or your folder is unlocked. The password of secure folder is ghostman.

You can also download third party software from internet to lock files and folders. But can’t believe on that tools and that is why I am telling you create your own locker to lock folders or files without any softwares.
